If last weekend is any indicator of this coming weekend , we expect to be very busy on Saturday and Sunday (December 5th and 6th). In order to be safe and to allow things to flow more quickly, we will only allow a limited number of vehicles in at any given time.
If the driveway is blocked with vehicles or Caution Tape, please drive by and come back when there is an opening. Please do not stop or park on State Route 93 or along the right of way. Although the speed limit is only 45 MPH on this stretch of SR 93, many people drive much faster. We are trying to gain access to some additional parking nearby and will let you know if that works out.
Poplar Row Nursery will be open on Saturday from 1 to 4 PM. They have wreaths and poinsettias. They are only about 1.5 miles south of us on State Route 93. So if we’re busy consider paying them a visit while you wait.
We appreciate your business, and thank you in advance for your patience! Merry Christmas, and Please be Safe!

We have very limited parking available at both our roadside lot and at the U-cut farm. With the saturated soil conditions that we are experiencing this weekend (Dec. 6 &7), we need to keep all vehicles on the gravel parking areas to avoid damage to the property and to your vehicles. Consequently, at times we may need to limit vehicle access. If you see a sign reading “Parking Lot – Full” at the entrance to the farm, please try again later.
Feel free to call us at 740-395-4472, to see if we have space.
Perhaps you could visit Poplar Row Nursery and load up on honey, wreaths, poinsettias, and amaryllis flowers for the Holidays. Poplar Row is operated by Buckeye Community Services and is located just 1.5 miles to our south on SR 93.
Thanks!

Loaded for a 6,750 Mile Journey to Kuwait

Each year the Ohio Christmas Tree Association (OCTA) organizes Operation Evergreen to send live Christmas Trees to military personnel serving overseas. http://ohiochristmastree.org/octa-giving-back/
This is the second year that students at Sts. Peter and Paul School in Wellston raised funds to ship one of the trees to Kuwait, made homemade ornaments and cards, and selected trees to be sent to the troops.
These three trees were cut this evening and made the first leg of their long journey to Kuwait. They will be inspected and packaged (along with the decorations) in Reynoldsburg tomorrow.
If your organization is interested in helping to raise funding for shipping ($160 per tree) or would like to supply decorations for a tree next year, feel free to contact us.

Caring for your fresh cut tree

Keeping Your Fresh Cut Tree Fresh!, Other Information Leave a comment
A few pointers to make sure that your tree stays green and safe through out the Christmas season:
- Store your tree in a cool place if you can’t put it up right away.
- Cut a thin slice (1/2 inch or so) from the bottom of the trunk immediately before placing it in water.
- Place tree in stand and fill with water as quickly as possible.
- Do not place tree near a heat source. Block registers close to tree if possible.
- Monitor water level at least once per day. Do not allow the tree to run out of water!
- Turn off tree lights when you’re not in the room enjoying the tree!
- Let me know if you have problems!
- Most importantly! Enjoy!
